EL NINO#9i think this might be the next season.s chelsea team.i think it will be the team to beat.i also know that their isnt really a defensive mid but i think lampard can very much play that role.also with new signings hazard and marin and hulk closing in i think chelsea will come out in full force next year to win back the champions league and may even win the premier league.what do you guys think?and please try to 'nice' when comment because im new to the football world.

Walters_14_MUFCI'm a Man Utd fan and I doubt that will be the starting line-up. Hazard's already stressed that wherever he goes he wants to play in the number 10 role, just behind the striker.

david1993i think chelsea will use the 4-2-3-1 formation as this formation will benefit the huge tacking talents of chelsea.
when torres was on form at Liverpool they used the system 4-2-3-1 and with worked. if Chelsea use this formation ti will benefit Chelsea and torres

Hi All,
I know SAF at MU said he was always fond of utilizing 'a passer and a runner' in midfield. It then occured to me that by using this philosophy, whilst employing a 4-3-3 (like Barca's) where you essentially have three diamonds of players, a defensive diamond, midfield and attacking diamond. Luiz and Hazard being the players that are the links between the diamonds. With all that in mind, what do you guys think of this formation in action?
The idea is you can bring out the best in Luiz, by letting him move forwards (Although I'd love to see Romeu grow into the Makalelee role) and you can allow Hazard to play in the hole, Marin out on the left wing and Hulk on the right, all where they are comfortable. Mata is sweet with his passing and movement, so he would compliment the 'runner' Ramires in midfield. He could essentially grow into our Snieider, making those killig passes forward from deep in midfield.
Would love to hear others opinions. Very excited about the new lineup and actually, despite the talk of Hazard and Hulk, and most excited about Marin.

BartyBoyMy hope is that we can transform Lampard into a venturous DMF - very similar to how we used Ballack before he left the club. I always remember being so relieved to see him in that position rather than Mikel as with Ballack we seemed to have that extra attacking edge on the field yet he was still very positionally aware. If Lampard becomes that kind of player then you could remove mata from the above diagram and replace with Lamps.
