4-4-2(diamond)

RedrebelThe question has been asked forever. Which is the best formation there is. The best formation there is in modern football is the 4-2-4 meaning two center-backs, two full-backs, 2 center-midfielders, 2 wingers, and two strikers. This formation offers infinite amount of crosses, and the more crosses there is the more chances of goals being scored. It has it's negatives too. Midfield can be vulnerable making the defense severely tested, but if you have good defenders it shouldn't be a problem.

nvrThis formation requires a typical number 10, who can create something out of nothing. Deco and Ronaldinho are the first names that spring to mind. Sneijder, on the other side, is more effective on the flanks. I doubt he can play that position.

On a side note, Robben may prove too soft defensively against touhger opposition.
