Mac10If Eto'o cames, thats how i would play! Berbatov, Owen, Giggs are in the bench. we let them go on when we are losing!

FeriAtsI'd rather have Valencia as an attacking right back and go for Berbatov leading the attacking line. Eto'o will be where Valencia is in your formation.

So is SAF really is interested in signing Eto'o. Or is this another one of journos transfer window page fillers?

RoberticusI agree re: Valencia. He's not really a winger (in the outside-forward sense of the word), more of a wide-midfielder (box-to-box) or even a wing-back.

Although even when playing as an attacking full-back would his positional sense be good enough.

I think he is better suited to a midfield four. It wouldn't have to be symmetrical (some of the best systems down through history were totally unbalanced) so you could keep Anderson on the left close to Carrick and Fletcher (and cutting in on his right foot). Rooney and Etoo would be great up front together.. Etoo fixed more centrally, Rooney buzzing around him (to either flank and just off Etoo).

Robert O'CarlosAlthough I don't think United should play this system, I'm liking FeriAts suggestion of Berbatov up front with Rooney and Eto'o buzzing off him.
:-)

Can't believe people would even consider leaving Berbatov out. He gives more to the team than people realise, and provided most assists out of United's squad last season.

RoberticusYeah, Etoo' can more than do a job on the wing (see both Champions League finals for Barça; 2006 and 2009 and he scored in both).. but only in certain games. Week-in week-out he'd get pissed off playing here.
