RossiW54All other countries playing in the World Cup this year need not fear if any 'big name' England player becomes injured during the tournament. The replacements aren't really great, as shown by my latest This11 formation.

badgerboyI doubt any team would look great if you took out 7 or 8 of their first choices but if it's 2 or 3 injuries it depends who it is.
Rooney is key to any England success & the full back options aren't great if Ashley Cole or Glen Johnson are injured. There's no alternative at all to Johnson except Carragher shifting over (Wes Brown isn't in the squad).
King, Upson or even Dawson should be fine at CB as long as one of Terry & Ferdinand is next to them.
And I'd expect/hope Lennon, Milner & Joe Cole get plenty of playing time even without injuries.
Any forward line without Rooney in it is a problem & Barry's injury problems aren't good news. Carrick or Parker might turn out fine but I'd definitely be happier if Barry was fit.

nvrI for one think Crouch and Defoe are not a bad pair, and this comes from an Arsenal fan. Granted not the class Rooney is, they still provide a very usable option.
