Parrot09This is a 4-3-3 formation but instead of a flat back 4 it is played with a stopper and sweeper. I may be off the wall with this but I prefer the stopper in this formation to typically play from left to right moving in relation to where the ball is and stopping the player with the ball. This requires the left and right mids to pinch in and help with the marking. The left and right wingers will then fill in the gaps left by the mids. The sweeper will not mark anyone but will pick up any extra players who may get through unmarked. I would like any thoughts and suggestions for using this with U14 age teams.
