gazlfcforeverThe left side could win it or lose it for Liverpool. I've put maxi there but we don't have a great deal of choice to be honest. Suarez hopefully will keep Ashley Cole busy and our midfielders should pressure Chelsea's early.
The defence will have to be fairly deep to cope with the speed of Chelsea's front line but the main game plan should be to keep them from getting the ball by cutting out the service from A Cole and Lampard and Essien.
If that all works Chelsea's only outlet will be Bosingwa and depending if he has a good game or not could decide this game.

ZolaI don't think Torres, Drogba and Anelka will start together. Torres will probably get half an hour of playing time.

GerrardTorresMaxi is too weak to go up against Chelsea, who have strong/fast defenders and midfielders..ie- terry, lampard, obi mikel, etc...Maxi would get pushed over all afternoon too easily

Yeah maybe Jovanovic instead but like I said we don't have a great deal of choice
@Zola
I think all three will play with Anelka drifting.

ZolaRemains to be seen. I have three main reasons for not having them on the pitch at once:
1)None of them are too keen on defensive duties. Malouda, Ramires or even Kalou are not shy of defending. Liverpool, no matter how turbulent times they're going through, is not a game you take lightly.
2)They haven't played together before. They don't know each other's runs, type of passes they like, etc... It'll take a while before they find their rythm together. Again, this is not a game to risk things.
3)Some Liverpool players might be after scoring easy points with their fans. Someone injuring Torres for a couple of months would surely get a round of applause at Anfield, no?

The reason they'll all play is that who do you drop? Anelka is your top scorer, Drogba is still a top striker and you've just paid 50m for Torres. To be honest I think it's a bit daft Torres and Drogba are too similar in that neither can play deeper or out wide. You're left with playing a narrow midfield and don't have the players suited to 4-2-3-1. Ancelotti will be forced to do a very narrow diamond or a lobsided 4-3-3 with two strikers.
I would be very disappointed if we didn't hurt Torres at least a couple of times, if I was playing it would be my mission to let him know I was there.

ZolaIt's not like Ancelotti has never dropped Drogba or Anelka.
Everybody understands that you should ease a new player into the team. He won't get the stick if Torres sits on the bench.

GerrardTorresI'm very much hoping Torres to start up front for that blue team, and Carragher to start at Centre Back for the Mighty Reds....Carra will let Torres know he's there within the first few minutes

I'm hoping cara will start but I dunno if his fitness will be good enough, isn't about time you changed your username :P

ZolaWell spotted :) That's why I always choose my nick from already retired players, they don't tend to betray.

GerrardTorresYeah I don't think you can change it :(
At least the first half of my username is good

GerrardTorresPS: Is Jovanovic even still alive? I haven't seen him on the bench let alone the field for months...
