digdogAn attacking 442, whereby one central midfielder pits and takes the ball off the back four, the other supports attacks and the two wingers really push on, the left cutting inside to make a front three, the right really hugging the line and use his pace to get past teh full back and to whip the crosses in. One striker drops off to provide an option early in attacks whilst the other pushes on using his pace to break through on goal. The defence is a more compact unit with one centre back covering whilst the other steps forward to cut out the danger early. The left full back acts as an out and out defender and rarley gets forward making something of a back three, whilst the right full back uses his pace to join attacks and help the right winger to get the crosses in. The attacks predominantly come from the right hand side.
