Jaap StamLast time I checked we were champions in the PL and finalists in the CL. That's the definition of good enough for me.

I appreciate that we need transfers, not just because Scholes retired but also to keep the squad fresh. For that, the players we buy must be better than the one's we have.

Is Nasri better than Valencia? Last 8 or 10 games says no. This is the business end of the season.

Is Lass better than Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher, etc? We watched the the guy at Chelsea, Arsenal and Pompey. We saw he couldn't break into first team in Real Madrid. How could he be better than what we already have.

JoeymacValencia is the best true winger in the Premier League. His delivery is second to none, and he doesn't fool around with the ball, he beats his man and sends in a cross. I prefer wingers like him rather than wingers like Nasri and Nani, who cut in and look for a shot.

Varane, if we got him, probably wouldn't be a starter in his first year. If anything, we'd loan him back to Lens where he can get experience, then become an Owen Hargreaves type player in the future.
