4321chrisThis is how I'd like to see England line up in the next matches. I think this is the strongest squad we have at the moment without Gerrard. Smalling is faster, fitter than Ferdinand.
Sit Rooney in behind Bent, where he can create chances and use his strength.
Also Bent can actually score.

nvrFor a second, I thought this was about New England Revolution in MLS.

Please, no more fat Frank. I'd rather have Gareth Barry in his place. Wilshere can than be assigned more attacking duties.

4321chrisOh yea I just read the title it looks like it means that..
Frank is better than Barry.
When Gerrard is fit, play him instead obviously, but Frank is good enough I think.

mojojojo101In my opinion;

-Drop Fat Frank, bring back Carrick in his place.

-Get rid of Johnson, he is weak defensively and offers little going forward becuase of his irrational insistence o cutting inside, play Richards instead.

-Drop Walcott, apart from his pace he offers little. Bring Johnson over to the right and bring Young in on the left.

-And most Importantly: Bring up the youth, drop the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Terry,m Cole who have consistently dissapointed, get the young pl;ayers called up and get them game time, they may be the best team at thier level but that wont win us the World Cup in 2014 or any year after that either, get them in now or risk another generation of dissapointing English footballers.

JimmyGuitaristGod forbid, Bent needs out. We need to stop with the "target-man" tactic if we're to compete against Europe.
Wilshere's a new hope.
Lampard needs out. We need a new squad with different philosophies towards football.
Walcott needs to be played correctly. It annoys me when he's apparently a winger, when he has to sprint right from defence to get to a long-ball on the wing.
I like the rest, but I think we should go to a 4-3-3. Press high and watch how Spain keep the ball for so long. Then we're on our way.

GeorgieWasTheBestIsn't Bent a "tap-in" man? I am yet to see him outmuscle a defender, hold up a ball for more than 5 seconds or win an aerial battle. You know the kind of things a target man would do.

JimmyGuitarist@GeorgeWasTheBest:
Bent isn't your typical target-man, I know, but we play like he is. We'd play the same even if we had a 4 foot migit up there on his own. We're just so reliant on the long-ball strategy even though it's never actually worked really. It's a style of football what completely relies on luck.
