delboy_lfcthis is just to show where we are desperately in need of improvements. left back spot is crucial together with a centre back since agger will hardly play more than 15 games a season.
plus the midfield area needs strengthening, i'd rather have suarez in the middle as our main striker and in his place a solid left winger. i am not sure if carroll would get too many minutes in this type of system, he's pretty much one-dimensional and suitable for home games vs. weaker and very defensive opposition. but in major games he might be a sub.
lucas has been excellent last season but i am still not sure that he got what it takes to be a world class players. i would love to have a strong holding midfielder, someone like essien was at this best.
but then again, the transfer window has just started so it'll be very exciting to see what king kenny and comolli will come up in the upcoming weeks. still very hopeful of a strong team that will surely make the top 4, and with some luck even challenging.

nvrTalks between Arsenal and Clichy collapsed, if the media are to be believed. Wenger will not a bat an eyelid, if you make a semi-decent offer. So, enjoy your new left back.
I still think, Liverpool need serious reinforcements in middle of the defence.

delboy_lfc@nvr: you are 100% right on our problems in the central defence, let's hope something will be done. but i guess your team is facing similar problems upcoming transfer window/ season.
