harney312Sir Alex Ferguson's capture of Ashley Young could frustrate those looking for a "trequartista" in Sneijder or a "replacement Scholes" in Modric. Young, however, offers a very quick turn of pace and a very competent delivery. Sir Alex Ferguson, in fact, has little need for a new, expansive center-attacking midfielder. Wayne Rooney has operated superbly "in the hole" as Rooney's greatest, and undermentioned, asset is his passing. And in Javier Hernandez, Manchester United has acquired one of the brightest strikers in Europe. Blessed with pace, Hernandez is able to make brilliant, quick runs through defenses. This is all complemented by his cool finishing prowess. On Manchester's right flank is Valencia, who, when healthy, provides consistent and competent performances. Manchester United's weakness last season was the absence of a powerful, defensive midfielder. Fletcher provides half of this and has constantly improves. He is, however, a donkey. But he has grit and energy, which every team needs. Sandro, however, should be Manchester United's only remaining transfer target. Sandro has exceeded all expectation at Tottenham and yet would be far cheaper than oft-mentioned Modric. With Sandro's dynamism, Fletcher's grit, and Rooney's brilliance, Manchester's midfield can once again provide real strength. The implementation of Fletcher and Sandro also allows Evra and Rafael plenty of cover. This is in turn allows them maraud forward and provide continual width and pressure.
