The_Black_MambaImho England had enough pace in that team and on the bench to trouble us (the French), but they chose to be pragmatic and tried to bore us to submission. I have seen enough of Evra (as a United fan) and Mexes and Rami (as a Frenchman) to know that they have trouble with pacey players. In the next game Hodgson has to go with a more attacking line up, because Sweden will prove to be difficult to beat as England well know. My line up for that match would be:
............................................................Hart
Johnson....................Lescott........................................Terry....................Cole
...............................Parker..........................................Milner
Walcott.............................................Gerrard........................................Young
............................................................Welbeck
In this line you have back five that showed it can be solid, and are to restrict the opposition. Then in front of them you will have two hard workers who will make it difficult for the opposition. On the flanks you have two pacey wingers who will do a much better job, compared to the Ox and Milner, in supplying Welbeck with crosses and goal scoring opportunities. And then behind Welbeck you have Gerrard playing in a position where he is most effective. But alas I doubt the Owl will be pick this line seeing as he has made his living in playing pragmatic football.
