2 DMF are essien and john mikel obi can defense with 3 defenders and equals = 5 defenders . 4 AMF are Ballack , lampard , deco , joe cole can attack with one strike is drogba and equals = 5 attackers.
5 defenders and 5 attackers are the same balance and naturally strong.

RedrebelYou are saying you have 4 attacking midfielders. To tell you the truth no team plays with 4 attacking midfielders. The max I have seen and heard a team playing with is 2 attacking midfielders. Probably, you are meaning 4 offensive minded midfielders. Joe Cole and Deco playing as wingers and Lampard and Ballack playing as attacking midfielders. You question was if this is a strong formation. This formation has some defects. You are putting two attacking and two defensive midfielders. While, you really only need one because Lampard and Ballack will come back and defend and you will have 4 marking in midfield if only Lampard and Ballack come to defend. So, what I would recommend is either leaving Essien or John Mikel Obi as defensive midfielder and making an standard back 4.
