plemingI think if you use Barry as a left sided central midfielder, adding support to Rooney who can go to the left wing, or cut up into the six, with Gerrard acting as a playmaker on the right, sending crosses in, cutting in and shooting, you could really open up the attack... Johnson provides good support on wing for Gerrard, Cole doesn't need to push forward too much, as Barry will act as support for Rooney. Carrick just covers for Johnson when he runs up, or for Lampard when he attacks the box. The "Pacey FW" is basically the hot hand of Walcott, Agbonlahor, Lennon, Defoe, SWP... whoever is playing well and let them use their pace and act as a poacher, beating the back line of the opponent with pace...

FeriAtsCapello tried Rooney-Defoe pair up front couple of times and has not been impressed. Lennon and SWP are right wingers I suppose and shouldn't be played there.
